Puerto Princesa Underground River Tour in the Philippines

Aptly nicknamed “the city in a forest,” Puerto Princesa city’s attractions have much to do with its natural wonders and commitment to the environment. In fact, it’s been named thePhilippines’ cleanest and greenest city, and has been internationally recognized for environmental excellence.

Of course the hidden lagoons and spectacular diving places are in Coron or El Nido, but Puerto Princesa can  be one fun destination, especially if you are among family and friendsOf course the hidden lagoons and spectacular diving places are in Coron or El Nido, but Puerto Princesa can  be one fun destination, especially if you are among family and friends

Puerto Princesa is also home to more secluded and less commercial beaches. Try the beaches of Nagtabon, Napsan, and Marufinas if you want to enjoy fine beaches and awesome sunsets away from the crowds.

Inside, the darkness gives way to incredible stalactite and stalagmite formations. Some of them have even gained monikers like the “Holy Family” and “Sharon Stone,” while a few phallic symbols will also elicit giggles. And that’s just scratching the surface. Some parts of the underground river are still unexplored.

For the brave, exotic food choices await. The ever popular Kinabuchs Grill and Bar serves tamilok (shipworm) and crocodile meat. The less adventurous can head for Ka Lui for their creative seafood dishes.

Here we come Boracay

Exploring Palawan

Let me tease you! They say this beach can fit two soccer fields, I say… on low tide, even three! The sand – white as sugar, fine as powder, soft as cushion! Punta Sebaring is probably the best beach.

Its name does sounds greek and out of this world. Chances are, it is the very first time that you have heard the place. I am not surprised, Punta Sebaring is that offbeat and remote.

It is a patch of perfectly fine and white sand situated on the southern tip of Bugsuk Island, one of the islands that comprise the Municipality of Balabac which also happens to be the southernmost town of Palawan Province, the last of the last frontier.

The beach is dotted with mangroves and serves as playground for wild monkeys. If you are lucky enough, you’ll chance upon mousedeers that occasionally laze along the shore. These mousedeers dwell in the woods in the interior of the island.

It is raw, remote and unspoiled. But words will fall short to describe the sublime beauty of Punta Sebaring.
